Will this work with my calendar app?

Yes. The template is a standard .ics file that imports into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Fantastical, Notion Calendar, and any other app supporting the iCalendar format. Once imported, the blocks appear as regular recurring events you can edit freely.

What if I have clients who need same-day responses?

The template includes a 45-minute communication batch each afternoon (Mon-Thu). For urgent clients, you can check messages at the start and end of each work block without derailing your focus time. If a client truly requires constant availability, that's a conversation worth having — it is usually a boundary issue, not a scheduling one.

I'm fully booked with clients. Why do I need marketing time?

Because being fully booked ends. Most freelancers who stop marketing when busy spend 6-8 weeks scrambling to replace income when a client churns. The 6 hours per week in this template's marketing slots takes about 4 weeks to produce results — meaning you need to start before you need the pipeline. Treat marketing time as mandatory even at 100% capacity.

How do I protect my morning focus blocks from client meeting requests?

Use a scheduling link (Calendly, Cal.com) that only shows your afternoon availability. Clients can book your 1:15-2:30pm slots without you ever negotiating over email. Most clients do not care what time you meet — they just want to meet. Showing them a polished scheduling page with afternoon slots frames the constraint as professionalism, not inflexibility.
