Built by two people who got tired of managing their calendars.
We built the calendar assistant we wanted to use. Bootstrapped, profitable, and shipping from Thailand.
The team
Todd
Founder & Developer
Built UCals after spending 20 minutes every Sunday rebuilding his calendar by hand. Writes the code, shapes the product, and answers support emails.
Vlad
Co-founder
Keeps the systems running and the ship pointed in the right direction. Obsessed with building things that just work.
Why we built it
Todd was spending 20 minutes every Sunday rebuilding the same week — gym, meals, meetings — all rearranged because one thing moved. He wanted an assistant that understood plain English and just handled it. He built UCals instead of complaining about it.
UCals is bootstrapped and profitable from day one. No VC funding, no runway pressure, no board meetings. Every feature we ship is something we — or a paying customer — actually needed. We say no to a lot of things.
We work from Thailand. We ship every week. We answer our own support emails. That's it. No team photo in a WeWork, no press release about our Series A. Just a calendar app that manages your schedule through conversation.
How we work
Bootstrapped, not VC-backed
No investors, no board, no artificial urgency. Every decision is made to build something genuinely useful — not to hit a growth target.
Remote-first, always
We work from Thailand, and we ship every week. Proof that great software doesn't require an office.
Fewer customers, done right
We'd rather have 1,000 people who love UCals than 10,000 who barely use it. Quality over scale.
